Bedford County recently launched their brand new website. Commissioner Chairman, Josh Lang said, “the goal of the brand new innovative website is to provide additional information to the public and to serve as an engagement tool. Our new website will serve as an online Courthouse for residents. Our old website had limited functionality and space constraints that made it difficult to serve the public, and took sometimes hours to post information, taking time away from employees other responsibilities".
The County spent several months developing and preparing for the roll out of the new website. They worked with Revize Software, a firm that specializes in government website designs, who provided a low cost, high return on investment solution to the County. Posting information will now take minutes for editors and finding information will be much more simple for the public.
The new website gives the public the ability to receive up-to-date notifications when information is posted. The public can subscribe via email or text messaging by going to the e-notify subscribe center. County employees from various County departments will serve as content editor’s for the new website to help ensure all pages are updated regularly.
Commissioner Lang concluded by stating, “I’m very excited for the new website and thankful for all of the hard work from County employees to make this possible. We will continue to work together to add additional information to the website to better serve the public. My hope is that in the future that the public can access any information they want at their own convenience”.
