Parking Garage Renovation

June 10, 2020

BEDFORD - The Bedford County Board of Commissioners would like to advise the general public and all interested parties that the county parking garage adjacent to the courthouse will be closed for necessary structural repairs and maintenance beginning Monday June 15, 2020.  The duration of the project is scheduled to be 6-8 weeks. The public will be able to enter the courthouse at either the Penn Street Entrance or the entrance on the second floor that has been used during the COVID-19 restrictions. Parking on Penn Street and Juliana Street will continue to be available but limited to two hours in duration. Public Parking without time restrictions is available on Thomas Street and John Street.

Four handicapped parking spaces will be available on Penn Street very close to the Penn Street Entrance to the courthouse.  A total of four handicapped parking spaces (two additional) handicapped will be available on Vondersmith Avenue across from the Berkebile Funeral Home.  If you are in need of special assistance with handicapped parking, please call the department in the courthouse you need to access to schedule an appointment and request any additional assistance you may require. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience this project may cause the general public.
